FAQ

Can I use both the Comb Raising Kit and Recoil Pad Kit on the same gun?
Yes, you can use both at the same time, it is merely a matter of preference. There will be some overlap of the neoprene sleeves but it will not affect the performance of either product. See what that looks like here.

What is the most height I can comfortably add to my gun?
Although the CRK comes with pads that add up to almost 2", we do not recommend going much over an 1.5".

Will Comb Raising Kit fit my gun?
The CRK is a one-size fits all item and it fits most normal sized gunstocks. If your stock is on either the small or large size and you are concerned about the fit, please email us the model of your firearm and we will do our best to confirm whether it will indeed fit properly.

Do I have to remove my scope to install the Comb Raising Kit?
No, the CRK can be installed directly over the gunstock. Simply turn product inside out (to allow product to slide), pull over the butt of gun and turn right side out. (Please refer to Product Installation Instructions that come with product for a more detailed explanation.)

Very Good Product

I needed to raise my point of impact (POI). My coach and I taped a 1/4" thick piece of soft foam, which worked but I probably could have gone a tad higher. I have two Beretta Silver pigeons (12GA and 20GA) and know that that company makes a foam pad with an adhesive. However, a few local gunsmiths whom I trust advised me that the adhesive never works. I'm glad I found the Beartooth Comb Raising Kit 2.0! The foam is nice and hard so that it does not deform. The neoprene cover is tight and keeps everything in the proper position. There are a lot of complaints about fixing the foam and neoprene cover to the stock. My response is that nobody should complain because a tightly fitting cover is going to keep the foam in place. It took me 45 minutes for EACH GUN to put the foam insert and neoprene glove on my stock, and I confess that I thought I could have done a better job. What we discovered is that it's really a two-person job. Once the sleeve is inverted and reversed on the stock (as in the instructions), one person has to hold the foam insert while the other one rolls the neoprene cover over the foam and to the butt-end of the stock. As noted in the instructions, it's crucial that the seam is directly at the bottom of the stock. Although not in the directions, I looped the hole found at the end of the seam line on the bottom corner of the stock, thinking that it would keep everything in place better. It worked. I used the 1/4" foam insert and the thickness of the neoprene cover provided the extra rise that I needed for lifting up my POI. After shooting over 200 clays, the foam insert has not moved out of place and has kept its original shape with no indentation. I think it is going to be a keeper! It's a good product. While affixing it to the stock is difficult, please remember that it needs to be that secure if it is going to be a permanent fix for raising your POI.

Installed on an old Remington 760 pump. It originally came with iron sighta so it had quite a drop at the comb. It now carries a scope. This was the easiest , neatest , least destructive and cheapest way to to raise the comb. I would recommend it to anyone.

would not assemble

I needed 1 1/2 inches of raised comb height to raise my eye to my scope. There was no way I could get the 1 1/2 inches of foam inside the sleeve. So it would not work for me.
